What is 6D Microblading?
6D Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic eyebrow tattoo technique using ultra-fine blades to create a natural-looking brow. 6D Microblading is especially for those seeking a natural, fuller looking eyebrow.
How long does it last?
Depending on your skin type 2-3 years
Is it painful?
It might be a bit uncomfortable for those who are particularly sensitive, but the brows are numbed and for most they do not feel a thing and find it quite relaxing. If there is pain clients explain the pain to be similar to having your eyebrows tweezed. Panado can be taken 30min before you arrive. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY ASPIRIN!
How does it work?
Pigment is placed into the skin by cutting fine lines into only the upper layers of the skin using an ultra-fine blade.
Does my skin type play a role?
Yes it definitely does. Pigment can fade sooner and lines may “blur” slightly more on an oilier skin.
How long does the procedure take?
About 2/2.5hours for the Initial procedure. 1/1.5 hours for the Touch-Up procedure.
How long after the initial procedure should I have the Touch-up done?
What can I expect during the procedure?
When you arrive we apply a numbing cream. This has to be left on for 20mins. While we
wait we talk about your brow shape and complete a consent form.
Once the 20mins is up we start the measuring and drawing process to determine the correct and best brow shape for your face and specific features. This can take up to 45min. Together we assess the shape, once approved we start Microblading.
We start with the one brow first and move between the two brows creating about 3-4 passes with the blade on each. Throughout the entire process anesthetic is constantly reapplied.
Once completed you have a look at your brows and changes are made if necessary.
I then discuss your aftercare procedure, and you get to enjoy your beautiful natural brows!
What can I expect after the procedure?
Your brows go through some changes in the 4 weeks after the procedure. It is very important to remember that the final result will only show after 4-6weeks. At first brows usually look much darker for a few days. Around day 3/4 the tiny cuts close-up and start making scabs. Not everyone scabs. DO NOT PICK THE SCABS! Once the scabs come off brows might suddenly look too light and later darker again. At week 4-6 you see the true result. It also extremely important not to get your brows wet for the first 5 days after the procedure!
Do I have to do a touch-up?
Microblading is a two step procedure. The touch up is recommended 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment. During your touch up we fill in any lines that might not have healed solid, we add lines and adjust/deepen the color if needed.
It is very important to note that everyone heals very different. Some brows can heal very patchy, this is normal. Therefore a touch-up session is highly recommended.
