RiRi’s make-up is undoubtedly always flawlessly perfect and tastefully designed. So whenever we see Rihanna’s name linked to a make-up product we can know and trust that it will be just as amazing!

This year Rihanna has launched a new MAC VIVA GLAM in two beautiful Frosted Blue-reds. A lipstick and a lipglass packaged in a gorgeous rich soft-touch red casing. This limited edition packaging also features RiRi’s signature.

In Three Words: Quality, Gorgeous, Charitable

Pro: The all-in-one lip purchase with the added benefit of donating to a worthy cause.

Con: None, unless you think it’s pricey. Personally I think it is well on-par.

The Lipstick (R185 each)– Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick. A soft moisturizing lipstick that glides on with one sweep. This lipstick also has the true to MAC lipsticks signature scent. The frost is subtle and reminds me of the soft metallic sheen you get in chiffon fabric. I found it lasted very well for a red lipstick. It didn’t bleed and it also looks beautiful on camera!!!

The Lipglass (R175 each)– Viva Glam Rihanna Tinted Lipglass. It is MAC’s signature, smooth formula gloss that gives an even finish and lasts long. It delivers a high gloss finish with pearlized pigments adding a mesmerizing frost to the lips. This gloss can be worn on it’s own or over a lipstick.

A RED lip is timeless, not limited to seasons and always a good purchase!

VIVA GLAM is MAC’s AIDS FUND. Every cent of the selling price of any VIVA GLAM Lipstick goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Definitely one of the most rewarding ways to donate. The stay-in-line range of VIVA GLAM lipsticks can be seen below. My personal favourite is the VIVA GLAM V..I will write about it soon!

Make-up artist tip: What does a Blue-red mean? This is talking about the undertone. The cherry toned lipsticks usually have a blue undertone. I personally don’t believe that certain skin-tones should wear certain undertone lipsticks. You see the problem is that your hair colour, eye colour and what you are wearing also plays a role. It is always best to try on the lipstick before you buy it! The same lipstick might look bright on one face, and deeper on another face, AND you might just be looking for a bright or a deeper red. Personally a blue-red is a safer choice and the most versatile, as opposed to an orange-red.
